Embark on an incredible 2-day rainforest adventure! On the first day, journey through the lush jungle, spotting amazing wildlife and taking in stunning views. As dusk settles, relax at our riverside or waterfall campsite—cool off with a swim and enjoy a freshly prepared meal. Spend the evening around a crackling bonfire, swapping stories and playing games with your guides. Fall asleep to the peaceful symphony of the forest. Wake up to a tasty breakfast before heading deeper into the jungle to discover more exotic creatures. End your trek with an exhilarating tubing ride back to Bukit Lawang!

ITINERARY

DAY 1: INTO THE WILD

Your adventure begins with a hearty breakfast at your guesthouse before your guide picks you up at 9:00 AM. The journey starts with a scenic river float, passing through rubber plantations before hiking toward the grand entrance of Gunung Leuser National Park.

As you venture into the dense jungle, keep your eyes peeled for the rare Sumatran Orangutans—watch them swing through the trees or cradle their young in a truly magical encounter.

Continue trekking through the vibrant rainforest, pausing to enjoy fresh tropical fruits amid the lush greenery. Then, climb for about an hour to a breathtaking viewpoint overlooking the Bohorok River valley, with the vast Gunung Leuser National Park stretching behind it.

Savor a delicious lunch surrounded by jungle serenity. Afterwards, keep watch for more wildlife including various monkey species and monitor lizards. The path leads to a pristine river or waterfall where yA delicious lunch awaits in the heart of the jungle before you trek deeper, spotting wildlife like Long-tailed Macaques, Pig-tailed Macaques, Thomas’s Leaf Monkeys, and Monitor Lizards along the way.ou can cool off with a revitalizing swim.

By 4:00 PM, you’ll reach your riverside or waterfall campsite. Relax with a warm drink, take a refreshing swim, and savor a homemade dinner of fragrant curry, rice, and other local dishes.

As night falls, gather around the crackling campfire for stories, games, and the soothing sounds of the jungle. Sleep soundly in your secure jungle tent, sheltered under a bamboo frame, as the forest whispers you to sleep.

DAY 2: DEEPER INTO THE RAINFOREST

Wake up to the sounds of nature and enjoy a fresh jungle breakfast surrounded by pristine wilderness.

Today’s trek takes you deeper into the rainforest for 4-5 hours, where you might spot rare forest turtles, White-handed Gibbons, or the stunning Great Argus bird. Every step reveals new wonders in this thriving ecosystem.

After a final forest lunch, your adventure concludes with an exhilarating "Jungle Taxi" ride—a traditional river rafting trip down the Bohorok River’s refreshing rapids!

You’ll return to your guesthouse between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, filled with unforgettable memories of your wild escape into Sumatra’s incredible rainforest.
